Coming to realise that the walls in your home are poorly insulated from external sounds can feel disheartening.
Here are some options for you to consider, helping you to reclaim your sense of peace in your home.
White noise: Using products like an air purifier, humidifier, box fan or white noise machine all generate white noise. When switched on, these products will produce white noise which provides a sound masking for external sounds. Note: you can also stream white or brown noise.
Live streaming: Using a streaming service, you can stream various ambient sounds like white, brown and pink noise; bird song, instrumental music. All these can promote peace and focus.
Sound masking: Wearing ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones can help to reduce external sounds, bringing you some peace.
Soft Furnishings: Using soft furnishings like heavy curtains, cushions, rugs and carpets all help to reduce the echo that can occur in a room.
Furniture padding: Apply felt furniture pads on the heels of furniture to prevent scraping on floors & the sounds generated by moving furniture.
Weighted Blankets: Using a weighted blanket help to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.
Essential Oils: Using calming scents like lavender or chamomile in a diffuser or as a roll-on helps to soothe heightened emotions.
May you experience deep moments of peace.
